Across the country, communities are coming together to organize Hands OFF! for a national mass activation in defiance of the Trump-Musk billionaire takeover and the assault on our freedoms and our communities. This is a demand, a warning, and a rallying cry that responds to the primary reasons for our mobilization:
- Trump and Musk are attempting an unconstitutional takeover of our government, and it is our duty to resist.
- Trump, Musk, and their enablers in Congress are gutting services, raising prices, and racing towards slashing Medicaid, Social Security, and more.
They are on this path of destruction for the benefit of their billionaire allies, not for the people who they swore an oath to serve.
- These Are Our Services, Our Jobs, Our Dollars: Everyone deserves good jobs, reliable services, and a fair economy—but Trump, Musk, and their billionaire buddies are destroying livelihoods, gutting public resources, and driving up costs just to pad their own pockets.
- Everyone will be Impacted: No matter what issues matter to you, you have a dog in this fight. The things you hold precious are absolutely on the chopping block for Trump, Musk, and their Congressional enablers.
- We Have the Power: This fight is just beginning, and we’re mobilizing to jump start the opposition. Together, we have the power to stop this takeover.
- This Cannot Be Business as Usual: We are facing an unconstitutional threat to our country and our freedoms through an illegal power grab. Now is the time to make our voices heard and demand our lawmakers to use their power to hold Trump and Musk accountable.
We are giving people a place to gather with other Georgians to make our voices heard. We believe that if the people demand more from their government, then we have the power to make the changes we are seeking. We intend to show that on April 5th.
We want to reiterate that this day of action is a peaceful march and rally. We are aware that this administration would like nothing better than to have a reason to declare a state of emergence and bring down repression that will cause the most harm to the most vulnerable and disenfranchised among us.
